Red Tyger Church

I sang with RTC last summer and it took us this long to get the album out. Mike Diaz made the final touches come together, while simultaneously dealing with strong pulls to destroy himself. Karen Simmons, brilliant vocalist and fiance to Mike, continued to support all of us with her powerful, loving sway. Aaron Richards kept his cool, focusing on his guitar and sipping brew. Sean Kehoe, our drummer, also a member of the band The Invalids in Santa Rosa, lent an ear to my personal woes and beat his sticks like a bow staff on a bad guy. Brad Teichman, our bassist and bassist/vocalist for The Ancient Sons in Sacramento, kept the vibe light and comical, but all at the price of eventually moving to Ohio for some R&R. Meanwhile, Mike Diaz, had a little secret he was keeping while we lived together to finish recording. When you hear the album you will understand. I fled the band after an intense studio session singing Pictures on a Wall, which was written for Jamie (DJ Jewsy) and Sean Kehoe. I basically had a meltdown singing it, hit too close to home. In the height of the chaos, I wrote the lyrics for, and sang, Strange Angels, all done in one take, a huge emotional release. Tony Cale, the sound engineer was quick to make every song+vocals sound amazing. Special thanks to Retrofit Studios in Sacramento for the space, talent, couches and air conditioning. Matt Shrugg, I don't know you but WOW nice art work on the album so far- thank you:)
