if you are a lonely recluse, you are likely to fall in love with anyone who shows a significant amount of kindness toward you (via anyone who doesnt physically abuse/molest you)

i got a copy as well, was a tuff one to read. in a good way though. in the kind of way where you sort of want to shake the writer gently by her lapels and say "don't you see he doesn't care!?"
